This module is intended to introduce students to he need for biomedical imaging; the underlying physics of ionising radiation detection; common types of radiation detectors; X-ray planar imaging technologies; X-ray volumetric imaging technologies; nuclear imaging technologies; multimodality imaging systems; radiation protection and dosimetry.
